Giant Bat Eating Centipedes On A Plane!
That's one big, scary bug. A 13-inch long giant centipede hunts, captures in mid-flight, and completely devours a bat in a cave! From David Attenborough's Life In The Undergrowth series.

Ahh, thank you for reminding me how much these bastards sting. The perfect wake-up call at 4a.m. in Penang.
Scary bugs
I grew up on a ranch near Tucson, and there were only two creatures in the area that frightened our dogs: centipedes and Gila monsters. Whenever you looked out in the yard and didn't see any dogs, you could bet that you'd find a centipede or a Gila monster hanging around.
Our centipedes weren't as dangerous as the one Attenborough found, but you had to be very careful about killing them. You can't effectively crush them right away, so you have to jab them several times with a shovel, killing enough segments to immobilize them. Then you have to take them to a hard surface and mash them with a large boulder.
If you're prepared for them, it's not a huge deal, but if you happen across one, it stops your heart for a couple of seconds.
